Monthly Scrapbook Club

I've found that when I am part of a club I get more done! So to help you (and myself) get more done in 2011, I decided to start a monthly club.

Here is how it will work:

• Each month I will post the layouts and supplies needed for the next month.
• You can choose to purchase those supplies on a month by month basis.
• Everyone who participates will have a chance to receive hostess rewards.
• Your name will be on a list and each month that you order it will move up the list. If you don't order one month your name will stay in the same place. If you don't order for 2 consecutive months your name will begin to move down the list.
• When it is your turn to be the hostess I will let you know so you can collect additional orders, boosting your reward amount.
• You will receive a minimum $25 in Hostess Rewards.
• If you are local to me we will meet at the end of each month to put together the layouts. $5 will get you all the extras I will add (additional cardstock, ribbon, materials for interactive layouts, etc.)
• This is replacing the Workshop on the Go Club.

So why don't you join me and we'll see if we can knock out some layouts for our scrapbooks this next year! Comment on this post or e-mail if you plan to participate so I can add your name to the list!

What have you been up to lately?

I have been busy creating items to sell at the Trout Lake Holiday Market coming up next Saturday! When our Women's Ministry organized our Fall Bazaar I had a table and a couple of ladies that were there encouraged me to participate in the Trout Lake Holiday Market. I have been using a lot of my old supplies (BC - before Close to My Heart!)

I also finished my Christmas pages for the January Workshop and pages using Magnifique for this Wednesday's Girl's Night Out! Sneak peek coming soon....

So, what have you been creating?

What is your favorite Close to My Heart Product?

That is a loaded question! haha

I would have to say the thing that absolutely sold me on Close to my Heart is the My Acrylix Stamp Sets. Several years ago I had been introduced to stamping on my scrapbook pages and loved it. With stamps I could make any paper go great with any layout. But wood mounted stamps take up so much space.

Then I was introduced to Close to My Heart and the My Acrylix stamps. Wow! You don't have to cut them out before you use them and mount them permanently to a wood block. They come on a carrier sheet, you peel them off, put them on the acrylic block, then when you are done, you clean them and put them back on the carrier sheet. Plus you can see exactly where you are stamping. I LOVE that!

So I was hooked. I signed up as an Independent Consultant with Close to My Heart in January 2008 and have been sharing my love of scrapbooking and stamping with others ever since.

Olivia Projects

These are the projects I created with the Olivia Level 2 Paper Pack. I also made 24 3x3 cards from my scraps, a flip flap album, and I still have 2 full sheets and some larger scraps left from the paper pack. I added a few sheets of Colonial White Cardstock for my card bases and scrapbook pages.

I love that you can get so much out of one pack of paper. It makes it easy for me to make a layout for our family album and each of the kids' albums all at the same time!

This one is also from the new book "Magic". The strip at the bottom will have 3 2x2 photo's in the spaces and I still need to add a title.

At first glance this paper looked girly to me, so I decided to see what I could do to make it work for my boys. I especially like the layout of Spencer. Becca's layout was inspired by the same layout in the Autumn/Winter Idea Book.

Flip Flap Album Workshop

Workshop on the Go Club

Now that summer is almost over it's time to get scrappin'!

When I fall behind on my scrapbooking (wait, I would have to be caught up to do that :) Anyway, a great way to get caught up on your scrapbooking is with the Workshops on the Go kits. These are awesome. In each kit you get a complete Level 2 paper pack, an exclusive stamp set, 1 or 2 complete packages of embellishments, and a workshop guide. All for $29.95 ( a 10% savings.)

Beginning September 1, I will be offering a Workshop on the Go (WOTG) Club. When you join the club you are committing to purchase a WOTG kit each month (or $30 in other product, because face it, you might not always be thrilled with a particular kit!) Each person who joins the club will take a turn being the Hostess. AND, when it's your turn to be the hostess, you can collect outside orders as well and boost your rewards!

Joining is easy, just send me an e-mail and you are signed up. I will send out an EZ Invite the first day of each month for you to order your kit. You can always add to your order, just make sure you order a minmum of $30 (or the WOTG) so that it's fair for everyone and each hostess will receive her rewards. I will let you know when it is your month to be the hostess so you can plan accordingly. When you are the hostess, you will still need to order your kit. You will have until the last day of the month to place your order.

It's Going to Be a Great Summer!

I'm excited for summer.

Why?

Because I love the sunshine. It puts me in a creative mood. I have been getting lots of inspiration lately for my scrapbook pages and am anxious to get back to creating. I have taken far too long of a break. But I think that sometimes in the creative process, we need a break!

The Technique Workshops have been going well. There won't be one for the next couple of months. Life is just a little crazy right now with the end of the school year and then we have Vacation Bible School at the end of June.

I am going to schedule a Friday Night Craft Time for the ladies. It will be a night to bring whatever you have to work on, we'll eat some food and have fun and fellowship for a few hours and hopefully get some projects done. I'll have all my stamps and inks so you can play with my stuff.

Technique Workshops

Beginning in February I will be offering a monthly technique workshop. Each workshop will cost just $5 for your materials. You will make a single page layout and a card and will learn 2 or 3 new techniques. In February we are learning to embellish with brads and buttons and learning a couple of distressing techniques. We will also learn to use the piercing tool.

At each workshop we will select the date and the hostess for the next one! So get busy making those wish lists girls because when you host a workshop you earn free product!
